Allow me to introduce myself.

Welcome — I'm So Glad You're Here

Hi, I’m Emily Bray, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work and specialized training in perinatal mental health. I support parents through the emotional complexities of pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting. If you’ve found your way here, you might be feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, unsure of where to turn, or just wanting to do things differently—and I want you to know that you’re not alone.

Why I Do This Work

I became a therapist because I deeply believe in the power and possibility of change, the experience of being human, and our capacity to help ourselves and others. With both clinical expertise and lived experience as a parent, I offer a grounded, compassionate presence for those navigating the highs and lows of this life stage. I want every parent I work with to feel seen, supported, and more like themselves again.

My Education & Professional Experience

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Texas Steve Hicks School of Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). In addition to my foundational training, I regularly attend advanced trainings in maternal mental health and trauma-informed care. I’ve worked in a range of settings — elementary schools, statewide integrative social service support programs and private practice—and I now specialize in perinatal and parenting support because I believe that is where I can make the most impact.

How I Work

I integrate several therapy models, including:

  • NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Mindfulness-based practices

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

These approaches allow me to meet each expecting and current parent where they are, whether they’re working through postpartum depression, processing a birth experience, or simply needing a space to be heard.

A Flexible Practice for Real Life

I know that parenting often comes with unpredictable schedules and constant demands. That’s why my practice is built to be flexible: ✔️ Clients can easily reschedule sessions ✔️ I offer both virtual and in-person therapy ✔️ We work at a pace and rhythm that fits your life

Fathers and Partners Are Welcome Here

I am passionate about supporting all parents, including fathers and non-birthing partners. Too often, fathers’ and non-birthing partners' emotional needs are overlooked. In my practice, you’ll find space to talk openly about identity shifts, mental health, and your experience of parenting—without judgment.

If You're Wondering Whether Therapy is Right for You...

You don’t need to be in crisis to reach out. Therapy can be a space to slow down, reflect, and feel grounded again. If you’re curious about working together, I invite you to connect for a free consultation. We’ll talk about what you’re navigating and whether this might be the right fit.

Thank you for being here. It’s not easy to take the first step—and I’m honored to be part of your journey.

Sincerely,

Emily Bray, LCSW
