Emily is honored to be a part of a long legacy of giving back through active participation in the community and philanthropy. She continues to take opportunities to make an impact in the communities she is a part of.

Through her private practice, she is a proud supporter of Giving Austin Labor Support (GALS) and serves as a voucher provider for the Nurtured TX psychotherapy voucher program.

Emily is originally from Galveston, Texas and has served on The Harris and Eliza Kempner Fund for eight years holding the positions of Vice President, Secretary and a general board member. The Harris and Eliza Kempner Fund’s mission is to invest in the long term success, sustainability, and well-being of Galveston and its residents.

Emily also has the privilege of being a board member of the Sasser Family Foundation. As a board member she directs funds to support organizations in Austin such as Jewish Family Services and GALS. Additionally, through the Sasser Family Foundation, Emily sponsored the 2021 Perinatal Mental Health and Wellness Conference with the University of Texas Steve Hicks School of Social Work keynote speaker Dr. Dan Singley.
